+ Media and Label Relations Manager

Summary

We are seeking a talented individual to identify, on-board, and manage our label relations and media efforts. The position will serve as primary point of contact for media partners such as record labels, DSPs, PROs, music publishers, collection societies, artists, music managers and visual arts rights owners, as well as work with central internal teams. You will focus on developing & maintaining excellent relationships with OCL’s content partners by enabling them to maximize the technology as a licensing, sales, and promotional platform. The successful candidate will demonstrate a breadth of partner experience in successful strategic partnership management and execution. Outstanding communication, interpersonal skills, analytical thinking, commercial expertise with an understanding of the music, creative, and app business is instrumental.



Responsibilities

  • Develop, recruit, and manage strategic relationships with current and new media/ label/ artist partners.

  • Partnership management by providing strategic and financial insights.

  • Manage the roll out of new products and services that support these partnerships.



Key Qualifications

  • Ability to meet multiple objectives in an entrepreneurial environment with little supervision.

  • Experience identifying and fostering strong strategic relationships with all types of artists and the industry that supports them.

  • Experience identifying, developing, and executing unique solutions and marketing initiatives by leveraging artist and label relationships in combination with our technology.

  • Provide strategic and financial insights and develop best practice in order to help creative partners achieve and build on targets.

  • Experience putting together cohesive project plans, hitting milestones and goals.

  • Highly strategic and capable of driving stakeholders to a consensus on important issues.

  • Extensive negotiation experience, including comfort with legal aspects of negotiations.

  • Experience working as a project management role launching new products and/or services.

  • Proven track record working in a a fast-moving, constantly evolving, agile and dynamic environment.

  • Ability to work cross-functionally.

  • Understanding of partnerships deals and terms.

  • Experience in music licensing a must.

  • Experience with apps/developers a plus.

  • Problem solver and self-starter.
